Toast with Ground Beef and Cheese

This recipe is very common and easy to make. It became as one of our favorite breakfast every weekends since few months ago especially when we didn’t have cooked cold rice to make sinangag.  It can also be served on top of Pita breads, my hubby loves it.

Ingredients:
1 cup ground beef
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp. butter
salt and pepper to taste
8 tbps. of Sweet Chili Sauce
1 medium white onion, sliced into rings
1 green bell pepper, chopped
Several pcs. of sliced mushrooms
Grated quick melting cheese
4 slices bread

Directions:
1. Heat butter in a skillet, saute garlic for few seconds, add ground beef, salt and pepper. Stir and cook for 5 minutes or until dry. Remove from the heat.
2. Cut bread slices into half diagonally, spread 1 tbsp. of sweet chili sauce on top of each slice. Add 1 tbsp. of cooked ground beef on top, then onion rings, bell pepper and mushrooms.
3. Bake on preheated 250 degrees oven for 3 minutes, take out from oven and add grated cheese on top. Return to oven and bake for 2 minutes more. Serve.
