Fruit Salad in Sweet Macaroni

Ever heard of sweet macaroni? Filipinos will of course say yes but others might raise their brows, LOL! This is very common in Philippines especially during parties, served as dessert. Here in Kuwait, some Arabs who are accustomed of Filipino Foods called it as “Macaroni Al-Helwa’ means sweet macaroni, some liked it but others raised their brows since they are used of eating macaronis cooked in traditional way.

 

Ingredients:
1 can 500 g fruit cocktail
1 apricot, cubed
1 green apple, cubed
20 pcs. grapes
1 cup pineapple, sliced
1 box 250 ml thick cream
2 tbsp. mayonnaise
2/3 cup condensed milk
2/3 cup grated cheese
1/2 cup raisins
2 cups elbow macaroni

Directions:
1. Cook macaroni according to package instruction. Drain and let cool.
2. Combine cooled macaroni with the rest of ingredients. Mix well.
3. Refrigerate for an hour before serving.
